2010 Seaport Busker Program
We are now accepting submissions for our 2010 Street Performers Auditions!
All talent welcomed to submit – acoustic musicians, singer/songwriters, DJs, gymnasts, dancers, jugglers, magicians, mimes, balloonists and more!
To submit, please send a description of your performance along with a link, video or audio clip to Joan Cooney. Deadline: March 31.
* Due to a number of factors our program has been restructured; therefore all submissions must be made via email. If selected, you will be contacted to attend an audition.

Wireless service is available in the seating area of the food court, located on the third floor of the Pier 17 building. You can enjoy free wireless Internet access in several public spaces throughout Lower Manhattan. School Performances
Does your school want to perform at The Seaport? We offer a great opportunity for school Marching Bands, Choirs, Dance groups and the like to perform on Pier 17 from the Fall through the Winter months (performances end in May). Send us a link or video of your group performing, download our Performance Request Form and Hold Harmless agreement and fax or email it in and we will let you know if we can accommodate you. Please note: There is a $150 non-refundable application processing fee and performances are subject to change or cancellation.

The well-known stalls of South Street, formerly the Fulton Fish Market, are a constant reminder of New York City’s history of outdoor markets. Fulton Stall Market, a new outdoor food market, is dedicated to serving the neighborhood and visitors alike with the freshest local produce and unique specialty foods. Our market features farm fresh fruits and vegetables from the Hudson Valley, Long Island and New Jersey, just caught fish, artisan cheeses, organic breads, sweet treats, fair-trade coffees, locally-grown flowers, New York wines and more. Reflecting the local flair of lower Manhattan, Seaport Semester is a neighborhood initiative that includes an eclectic mix of classes, events and programming created for infants, families and seniors, alike. Presented at The Seaport, from January through June, Seaport Semester is made possible with the support of General Growth Properties in conjunction with an array of community-based providers from the areas of early childhood, recreation, literary, music, art and theater, among others.

Cool Culture: Cool Culture connects low-income families and cultural institutions, empowering parents and guardians to take advantage of these unique educational resources.
Our programs are specifically designed to help low-income families overcome the obstacles that prevent them from visiting arts and cultural institutions. Once these obstacles are removed, parents and guardians learn techniques and approaches to make their visits as beneficial for their children's learning as possible.
Dog Run Rep Theatre: Presenting classic & original theatre productions.
Downtown Babies: A unique world of educational play and music classes for infants to five-year-olds.
The Hudson River Park Mother's Group: HRP Mamas is a community based organization for moms and expectant moms living in Lower Manhattan.
Montauk Theater Productions: Improvisation and movement for children and seniors, play readings, cabaret and classics, musical evenings, children's theater.
Opera on Tap: Opera for the people! Programs for kids and adults. You may just change your impression of what opera is all about.
Pen Parentis After Work Reading Series: Warm, elegant monthly event showcasing notable authors (all are parents) reading from their own works. Concludes with an intimate Q&A. Full bar service available.
Spa for your Spirit: Interactive workshops with renowned life coach to help discover a sense of connection to self and inner peace.
TADA! Youth Theatre: Musical theater classes and week-long camps for infants to 8th graders.
Teen Entrepreneur Boot Camp: "Behind the Scenes of Budding Entrepreneurs"; Young start-ups speak to teens on what it takes to launch a business.
